Our Leaders

The Zeitgeist Movement Leader
Peter Joseph Merola

The quiet and shy brother of tv infomercial animator Eric Merola, a failed musician and failed stock broker, resident of New York city. His shyness and depressive state of mind gives him a lack of interest on the world out there; this made him get confined at home working his mind through paranormal stuff, trying to find pleasure on the unknown, consuming his lack of self-confidence into the false sense of intelligence through the investigation of pseudo-science and paranormal.  A declared fan and follower of Jordan Maxwell. A guy who saw somewhere someone talking about the Chandra Bose experiment and believed it was a truly scientific experiment.

This guy dreamed of becoming a filmmaker and radio host. After amassed some money helping capitalism on stock broking, he decided that he would become a “truther” on topics such as 9/11 and New World Order, despite the scenario was already dominated by the giants of the “truth movement”, David Icke, Jordan Maxwell, David Willcock and Art Bell.

After launching his truth video called “Zeitgeist: The movie”, somehow people gave to him attention and a prize on some fringe independent award called “Artivist Festival”. Enough to make him feels like a superstar, like if he won a Cannes award or something. He decided to move this thing to the next level by launching a website for other truthers to discuss the lame topics of his book, following the example of other truthers like David Icke and Alex Jones, whose forums are some of the biggest conspiracy nuts compilation available on the internet of all times.

Since these topics have a big public on the internet, Jacque Fresco smelled the opportunity and brainwashed the noob filmmaker into becoming one of his deluded free advertisers. He bitten the trap and launched Zeitgeist Addendum, again prized at the fringe award festival, increasing even more his belief that he was something important.

After some years of partnership and having amassed a small number of supporters and fans, and after launched another truth film named Zeitgeist Moving Forward, the inevitable clash of egos happened resulting in a breakup of the partnership between Jacque Fresco and Peter Joseph, but the deluded independent filmmaker kept on free promoting the concept of a RBE to Jacque Fresco, now claiming that the RBE concept is his.

Moving Forward was his biggest investment and won nothing. It was simply the same movie as Addendum, but featuring some other people on it rather than Jacque. This movie tries to alienate some real good ideas on the world like vertical farming and 3D printing and if it was something that the Zeitgeist Movement made happen and as if all that was part of a huge project to bring an RBE to existence. Delusional and demagogic.
After the split of the leaders, each one got a little share of the followers and Peter Joseph fallen in disgrace. He came back to be the unknown, fringe and underground truther, now focusing more on doomsday prophecy, claiming that the world is under some kind of cultural decline, but still naively promoting the idea of an RBE, although implicitly.

His hardcore followers and fans now created a schiltron of protection around their dear leader, giving him free validation while he deliver to them free conspiracies and doomsday prophecies. He praises himself for the number of visualization his videos have on Youtube achieved through years, despite the fact that a pop music or standup comedy video makes this same amount of number of visualization in hours today. Just because it has reached the house of millions. He forgot to remember that we are now at the age of the billions of visualizations, and any video today have the potential to reach millions of visualizations, even being a simple meme video made on MS Paint.

Characteristics of Zeitgeist Dear Leader:

Hidden Motives: Peter Joseph Merola, as declared by him, has some kind of “dark energy” around him. He is an underground vampire wannabe, who hides in the background of his internet based group and give orders to his appointed internet generals, a.k.a. moderators. He has a sad tone and dodgy sentence construction; his speeches are a sorry asking of justifications and vague mentions without any reference. Nothing different of any other conspiracy buffer and truther. He has a demagogic self-deprecating speech where he tries to appear humble to his peers declaring he do not command anything, or give any kind of order, while on the background he is giving direct orders to webmasters and moderators, and on his websites he is the one who makes all the rules and decides all the dates, events and internet based actions. He was the one who made the films and the PDF’s with rules for everyone. He acts alone and expects everyone to follow him. Every contrary decision or opinion is a “non official” one and the person is proclaimed “troll” and punished with banishment from his internet feud. Running things alone, without a second opinion, without a democratic election, without pools and votes, without previous communication, is nothing more than tyranny, a receipt for a dictator. His shadowy hidden motives never are apparent, and when confronted with the question of “what’s the plan”, or “what are the aims and goals of Zeitgeist Movement”, he always goes on some long trip talking about economic downfalls and grassroots potentials without answering anything straight.

Arrogance: Typical of this kind of personality. The shy guy who got praised a little bit now turns into an arrogant jackass full of himself. All the life spent as a loser has removed every sense of social calibration of him. Now thinking he is the Spielberg of internet based filmmaking, his sorry ass felling of himself turned into a boasted arrogance. Even worse, he tries to hide his arrogance behind a public image of humble guy who cares about the world. This type of self-lying tends to create a small tyrant, and his domains are his internet websites where he rules on the background with iron fist. This type of inflexibility and conspiracy buffing tends to attract all the internet nuts and losers while keeping way away the real intelligent ones. He has no cortesy to competitors and critics often going to battle against the other conspiracy buffers like Alex Jones. He want to conquer the place of “good guy” on the conspiracy network, creating a “flawless” image to his peers, almost godly, never being wrong or step down a opinion. He tries to run his feud based solely on his “feelings” and “sense”, ignoring every kind of organizational method like Management or structure like Democracy, staying away from objective data, analysis and surveys, and maintaining an order based on threats, scary tactics and image worshiping.

Contradictions: P.J. Merola declares he doesn’t own anything and that he is no leader, never gives orders. In fact, every website is registered paid by him. He is the one who creates, publishes and delivers the materials. He is the one who set dates for every kind of event. He is the one who decided who will speak, and who will become what. He is the one that can publish anything on the website and automatically that is the group ultimate truth, and he does this arbitrary posting without consulting anyone of his peers, without announcing, without discussing and by no democratic means, such as elections of proposals, pools of opinions and surveys. He has webmasters on the background keeping the website as Merola wishes, controlling the environment, webmasters that he orders. Also, the misleadingly called “coordinators” are in fact, his orderlies. They coordinate nothing; they are there just to keep the masses into worshiping their dear leader and propagating his ultimate absolute truth. Zeitgeist movement is a group of loser individuals harassed by Merola’s dogs into staying within their small internet based social group if only they chant the zeitgeist pray and swear fidelity to their leaders, by spamming out the zeitgeist logo, name and truth as much as they can. If they behave, they can participate on their little network, otherwise, they will be banned back to the real world where they have no friends and no life.

Lack of Vision: Merola runs things on his will solely. There are no written down, discussed, accorded and signed aims and goals. There is no explicit objective for the followers to base themselves. No guidelines, no method, no definition. It’s a group created to feel good about them by doing nothing! They join online, babble random words of self validation and end up thinking themselves as the world’s saviors. Half a dozen of baboons can accomplish more to the global scenery than a couple of thousands of zeitgeist followers and their leaders. Since progress needs a frame of reference to be measured, nobody can ever know on the zeitgeist cult if any progress was made or not. How exactly they think they will achieve anything? This is all due to Merola leadership. He is afraid that his followers become smart and stop worshiping him or doing free advertisement for him. This is what his visionless internet based movement is all about: praising Merola.

Lack of Clarity: P.J. Merola never answers anything straight. In any of his appearances and recordings, he was able to construct a straight answer. He always goes sideways and gets lost on tangents a lot of times. He starts talking about grass and up talking about ear rings, loosing completely the main subject. He never knows anything, never refer to any real study of fact. All he has is his ability to babble specific catch words to appear as if he was intelligent and knowledgeable, but in fact he is being vague and random. Either he expect that people will discover what he is thinking, or he is a very deceitful demagogue. Whenever he speaks, there is clearly no objective construction on his mind, he just start to deliver things out of his mind to not admit ignorance and to not create a dead air, that would make his confusion apparent.

Lack of Presence:  Kings from the ancient times noticed that if you communicate directly to your peers, you are not regarded too much. But if you use a herald, that is someone that speaks for you instead of you, you are worshiped and praised. Heralds then became the rule for everyone wanting to achieve a leadership position on some group and having others to worship them as godly figures. P.J. Merola took this to a whole new level by not even being present to their heralds, leaving a couple of very strict rules to the heralds to apply repeatedly with iron fist while he is out, nowhere to be found, boasting all over the internet that he is the world’s savior with a huge group following him, doing interviews and radio shows trying to attract all attention to himself. Sometimes he comes into the group and without saying hello start speaking out his usual babble, delineating his new set of rules for the frightened circle of kissers to follow.

Unreachable: If you want to reach the leader, you’ll deal with a problem. There is only one method to find him, an e-mail address that doesn’t work. P.J.Merola never answers his e-mails, and whenever online spitting out new rules for his peers he never responds to private chats. It is impossible to communicate with the dictator to challenge him or asking him things directly. He hides behind the protection of the internet and tries to appear charismatic and compassionate publicly, while in reality he is giving a damn to everyone. He just wants free validation and free advertisement for his image and lame trilogy. Everybody complaints about his (P. J. Merola) absence, but no one tries to challenge or leaves the group afraid of losing the circle of persons that talk to them, since in the real world this internet-based-world-savior is a outcast and loser and the only people he can have any kind of social contact are other losers who happen to found themselves gathered around the figure of Peter Joseph Merola.

Stupidity:
Peter Joseph Merola uses the right words for the right purposes. Certain words are like metatags to attract conspiracy nuts and potential worshipers, which are fragile people with no life that need to add some meaning to their lives. These people have no intent into researching deep into something, they just want to grab something with both hands and feel safe. In the other hand, really intelligent people with true potential of change are immediately repelled by the same words. One single word have a lot of meanings, politically, socially, objectively, subjectively, in the dictionary and in common sense. The use of the right words are a necessary worry for everyone who goes public. Merola either is very aware of this fact and uses the right words to attract the right losers for his personality cult or is a very stupid person using wrong words to try to convey a message to a specific niche of people. My opinion as that he started stupid, as we can clearly see on his interviews, but after he got validated as cult leader, he became a deceitful demagogue.

Inconsequent: Peter Joseph Merola does not think before babble. Other internet based conspiracy leaders like Icke and Maxwell think, plan and prepare their every words and presentation. Even his mentor Jacque Fresco has a much planned discourse he spits out over and over. Peter being the newbie in the block never thinks in what he is going to say and end up saying very stupid things. He affirms first and check latter. Luckily, once someone says something into a recorded media, this will be recorded as long as the media exists! And P.J. Merola garbage is already immortalized in the internet. They try to hide, deleting their old garbage but somewhere, someone has a copy or a print, and will make it available somewhere.

The Venus Project Leader
Jacque Fresco

School dropout and troublesome kid, never had any school, technical or college degree. He went all his life working as a mercenary contracted of many organizations, accumulating no development, discovery, brand or patent in his name since all his “designs” were either refuted, impractical or useless.

He jumped from group to group trying to find meaning for his life, from technocrats to charity, stating that his lack of agreement with these groups made him move on to other, in other words, his troublesome behavior never let him quiet in one spot.

Then he decided he was going to be a prophet, and design the future of the whole humankind! He took little droplets of other thinkers like Jacques Loeb, Edward Bellamy, Alfred Korzybski, H. G. Wells, Ebenezer Howard, and mainly from B. F. Skinner and Buckminster Fuller. Indeed these guys were the top thinkers of his time, but Jacque Fresco seems to have stopped reading books in 1960! He forgot that knowledge is always evolving and updating, and things are much more advanced to what they were on 1960. Skinner behaviorist school for example, is completely refuted, but Jacque still talks about it as if it was cutting edge science.

He developed a “school” called “sociocyberneering engineering”, meaning that one can use science and technology to engineer human values and behavior through the creation of a society ruled by cybernetic machines.

Whoever knows science and how the scientific method works will immediately get confused about this statement. How can one use science to engineer human behavior? Bizarre affirmation, but this is the type of fusion of words that attracted all those hippie wannabe types around 70’s and 80’s, and these people helped financing the scam school of Jacque Fresco, that that time charged a monthly payment for subscribers so they could meet with Jacque on the weekend, eat sandwiches and talk about his “cutting edge” novelties. He also charged some money from the fool subscribers promising to erect a wonder land were his designs were to be created and everyone was going to live with peace and love, and actually after gather the amount of money he wanted, he closed his “school”, bought a piece of rural land as personal property and moved to there.

He asked for donations to build a village for the donors to live in community, and actually used the money to acquire a privately owned real state for himself! This is how trustworthy Jacque Fresco is.

Once there, he built some of his “cutting edge” houses. It is a fiberglass structure mounted on a rebar structure with a dome design. Yes, if you are an architect reading this you probably thought about a swimming pool right? And actually it is! An inverted swimming pool with doors and windows cut on its sides. Maybe when he talked about “cutting edge”, he wasn’t referring to ultimate technology, but to actually cut the edge of a structure to make doors and windows.
With this new piece of real estate in hand, he recreated his “school”, now called the Venus Project since the real estate is located on a place named Venus. It is actually the same old scam, but he had to change the name or the old members would detect him and possibly cause trouble. The Venus Project although charged for visit, not for month. And yes, an extraordinary value per capita. When his hype was a trending topic all over the internet because of Zeitgeist movies, he was charging 200 dollars per capita for some hours of “tour” around his property with inverted swimming pools serving as houses. And a lot of hippies wannabes of this generation bitten the trap and went there to make a footage about this wonder land and this extraordinary thinker named Jacque Fresco (oh, the irony…).

Jacque was living in darkness for years, this lack of interest from the public made he decide to try to sell his property since finding new foo…, eh I mean, “members” to his Venus Project was really tough. He was spamming like mad for everyone with marketing potential to go there and make a free promotional video about his “cutting edge” designs. Some guys went there to film but never produced the final piece since Jacque authoritarian and controlling demeanor made them give up the idea. William Gazecki was one independent director who produced the final piece and launched his movie, titled “Designing the Future”, but Gazecki was smart and fooled the old scammer, he filmed everything according to Jacque’s will, but edited and produced a film featuring only the urban designs as if the Venus Project was only about architecture. This created a false image that made Gazecki movie very famous and fooled a lot of people into thinking the Venus Project was some credible organization and Jacque, some credible inventor. After Gazecki’s movie, another independent director risen up the scene with a movie talking about conspiracy theories mainly based (not to say stolen from) on the babble of Jordan Maxwell and 9/11 truth movement. Smelling the opportunity, Jacque sent this newbie his bait, and he bitten. The new foo.., I mean, member of the Venus Project scam is now the rich finicky NY boy Peter Joseph Merola.

Acting as Darth Sidious and Darth Vader, Respectively Jacque Fresco and Peter Joseph Merola started an internet based scam, promising to change the world and creating a utopia within few years! This of course attracted every conspiracy fans and hippies wannabes with no life to join the internet based “cause” and start to do “virtual activism” towards a better future. Peter Joseph Merola is now thinking he is something important, and Jacque is now happy since he had reinvigorated his scam school, now reaching other countries, and all this for free! The “members” of the zeitgeist movement would do every promotional material and translation, as well as cheap footage of his facility, and expose to the world freely.

Jacque Fresco thinking his status was established among those foo…, erh, followers of zeitgeist hype, decided that it was time to launch is bait. He invented a feature film, again, that would “change the world”, and started asking for donations to finance the expenses with this Hollywood production. Of course, screenplay, direction, production, all will be according to almighty Jacque’s will. Peter Joseph Merola didn’t like the idea of another person giving others to his minions of the zeitgeist cult and broke relations to Jacque Fresco. Without Jacques scam, P.J. Merola fell in disgrace and Jacque without Merola’s minions, fell back into darkness. Both will be forgotten by overall attention in few months and their little internet based empire will crumble in less than a year.

Jacque Fresco still insists in his plan, trying to copy the hype that Zeitgeist Addendum did few years ago but with no success.

Characteristics of the Venus Project Lord:

Authoritarian: He wants everything under his control, and everyone obeying his orders strictly. Never accept a second opinion and when someone debunks him, this person is misinformed, or is a “self-proclaimed agent of the status quo”.

Liar: Talking about status quo, who have self-proclaimed something was himself. He self-proclaims him as teacher but has not license, inventor but has no patent (only the trademark “future by design”, the legal name of Venus Project), engineer but has no college degree, structural designer but has no design certificate or engineer degree, architectural designer but has no architect degree and philosopher of science but has no philosophy degree. Also self-proclaim him as futurist and conceptual artist, but these ones are titles that can only be achieved by self-proclamation since there is no field or degree to them, in other words, are irrelevant titles. Jacque Fresco also is known to have applied the eco-village scam, a scam that fools people into pay for a piece of real estate with the promise of building a wonder land there, but once the land is bought the leader appropriates the real state for himself.

Plagiarist: He took the work of many people such as Jacques Loeb, Edward Bellamy, Alfred Korzybski, H. G. Wells, Ebenezer Howard, B. F. Skinner and Buckminster Fuller, and declared that he had invented those concepts under the banner of Venus Project.

Delusional: He talks about sciences and concepts that are outdated or refuted as if it was cutting edge knowledge. He accept awards from nuts groups such as the Raelian church as if they were some legit award to be proud of.

Charlatan: He invented fake schools only to be able to charge money from ignorant people, by fooling themselves into believing inverted swimming pools are cutting edge designs of houses, and that outdated sciences and concepts are the ultimate knowledge. He applies the same scam of charging for donations promising great works that will cause massive changes on the lives of the donors, only to take the money for him and move for another place to re-apply the scam.

Before us lies Zeitgeist, within us marches Zeitgeist, and behind us comes Zeitgeist
Sieg Hail!
